So it begins…

Published by lindsaym under me time, pregnancy Edit This

I thought I would have some reprieve this week before feeling pregnant. After all, at a little over four weeks, my baby is smaller than a single letter in this blog. But apparently, I was wrong. Apparently, a teensy little embryo has the ability to completely mess with my entire body.

I am beyond exhausted. It’s that kind of exhausted where I can’t think of words for simple things like “ruler” and end up calling it an “inches stick” instead. It’s the kind of exhausted where I have to keep moving because if I sit still for even a moment, I’ll pass out. Part of this is my sleeping disorder, which is bad enough when I’m not pregnant, and rediculous when I am.

I took the kids to Costco today to fill up our cart with stuff I didn’t come for but realized we “needed.” Before we started shopping, I bought the kids and I some cheap Costco lunch. Normally, I rather enjoy a Costco hot dog now and then, and their chicken bakes are awesome too. Today, everything tasted like cardboard. There goes that baby messing with me again.

Yesterday, I was still in a little bit of shock about actually being pregnant, so I took another pregnancy test. I know tests come back darker as the hormone in your body develops, but holy moly this thing was way darker than the day before! I suppose that’s an awesome sign!

Bug informed me yesterday, “Mama, you have two babies in your belly!” and insists that there is one boy and one girl. Where he ever got the idea of two babies, is a mystery to me. He has no idea what twins are, or that women can even be pregnant with more than one baby. I am going to be shocked if he is right.

Whew, speaking of exhausted, I cannot stop yawning. I think I had better lie down for a bit while the kids are asleep. Anyone have some extra energy they want to send my way?
