Oops, we did it again!
Hmm, maybe “oops” isn’t the correct term… Maybe “Yay!” or “Holy crap, we’re insane” would be more suiting. At any rate, I am excited (and still in shock) to announce that we’re having another baby! I swore I wouldn’t tell people until I was further along, but darn it, babies are so exciting. I’m not very pregnant at all, just about four weeks by my calculation (which, in actuality means two weeks of actual pregnancy), but a little pregnant is still pregnant all the same!
I knew I was pregnant the past couple of days. First, I have had some serious insomnia which never happens to me (I have a sleeping disorder that makes me constantly sleepy). Second, I had a near orgasm the other day over the smell of garlic. No joke, I was roasting some up to put in mashed potatoes and could not get enough of the smell. I was tempted to pop a raw garlic clove in my mouth, but I decided that probably wouldn’t be such a smart idea. Third, I have wanted nothing but ooey gooey cheese and anything dairy. Plus, my boobs hurt like nobody’s business and I’ve been, well, a little “testy.” (And by “testy,” I mean a pretty major bitch.)
Last night, I had dreams about taking the pregnancy test and it coming back negative again (we’ve been trying since October). In one of the dreams, I bought a pregnancy test and brought it home, only to find that it wasn’t a test but rather some kind of baby wipe. I went out to get another test and got it home and it was some other random item. Gotta love those pregnancy dreams.
This morning, after that beautiful plus sign appeared (I tell ya, I have never been so excited to pee on anything in my life, aside from the other two pregnancies of course), I cleaned off the stick and replaced the cap. I handed it to Bug and asked him to give it to Turk, who was still in bed. Bug, thinking the pregnancy test was a thermometer (and I can’t blame him), tried to stick it in Turk’s mouth. Talk about a wakeup call…
Anyway, we are very excited and praying for another healthy pregnancy. I have a tendency to fret over miscarriage when I’m pregnant, so forgive me if I do it through blogging occasionally.
Thanks for letting me share my still early, but super exciting news! Now, to figure out a pseudonym for this one… Bug, Bean, and Boo? That has a ring to it!
