Bug-isms
Oh, my little Bug-a-Boo…
This kid says the most hilarious stuff, I have to share some of his recent best:
- While sitting at a stoplight next to a car that was giving off horribly smelly fumes, Bug says, “Peee-you, my nose stinks!”
- A couple of mornings ago, I picked Bug up to give him a hug. “Sommet smells yike poop!” he exclaimed, scrunching up his nose. “Is it my breath?” I asked breathing into his face (I hadn’t brushed my teeth yet that morning). “Yeah,” he replied, wriggling out of my arms to get away from me and my stench.
- Yesterday, Bug wasn’t feeling well at all (see yesterday’s post for further details). This morning, when he first popped his cheery little head into our room I asked him, “Hey Bug, how are you feeling today?” to which he merrily replied, “I happy!” Not exactly what I meant by “feeling,” but a way cuter answer than just, “good.”
I must say, though the threes are trying and difficult, they are also so exciting. It cracks me up when he comes up with these cute little responses to things going on around him. I can’t wait to hear what he comes up with next!

First off, Bug looks JUST like you!!
I have always thought he took after you but man, the older he gets the more I see you in him. Cute kid!
Second, the “bug-isms” are too adorable! I do agree, the three are equally challenging and rewarding. Bryan has recently discovered that you can say “No thank you” to politely get out of doing something so now, everytime we ask something of him he relpies “No tank ew”
It’s cute, sometimes! teehee Or, if I say “Yuk. Something stinks.” Bryan will automatically sniff the baby’s butt!! LMFAO! It’s gross and funny at the same time!
LOL Maggie, you’re the first to say Bug looks like me recently. When he was first born I heard that, but lately it’s all Daddy. So, thank you.
Bryan sniffs the baby’s butt?! That is hilarious. And LOL @ the No tank ew!
