Uber Thankful
It’s that time of year again where we all gather together with our families and ponder how thankful we are for the things we have. Ask anyone what they’re thankful for this Thanksgiving and you’ll probably hear about all that mushy crap like family, friends, and health. While that’s all well and good, and yeah, of course I’m thankful for those things too, there are a few things that as a mom, I am also grateful for this Thanksgiving.
My gratitude for the following things is immeasurable. Wait… isn’t gratitude immeasureable anyway? Alright, if I had to measure my gratitudefor these items, I would be 500 bazillion inches grateful for them.
- Koala Kare for making their awesome Fold-Up Child Protection Seat. Without you, oh amazing child restraining invention, my Bean would be left to crawl around on the nasty germiness that coats public restroom floors. I would venture a guess that this baby bathroom seat has kept Bean from many a toilet fishing expedition. For this, I am forever grateful.
- Dominos online pizza ordering and super fast pizza delivery. If you have not tried Dominos online pizza ordering system, you have got to check it out. They offer the same specials, you get to pick exactly what you want on the pizza and can even specify how much sauce, cheese, and which toppings go on which side of the pie. My favorite part happens after you complete your order. The super cool Dominos online order status bar pops up and begins flashing red on the “Prep” box. I like to know that Ken started my order at 5:13pm! Thank you, Ken, for prepping my pizza so well. (I swear, Dominos did not pay me for this plug, though if they want to pay me, my contact info is available on the right. *wink*)
- Starbucks Eggnog Latte . You knew this one was coming, didn’t you? I don’t know if I can say anything more about the amazing Starbucks Eggnog Latte than I already did in my letter to Starbucks , so I will leave it at that.
- Nestle Coffee-Mate Peppermint Mocha Creamer. When money for my Starbucks runs dry, you are my knight in shining armor. Your delicious Christmas-y-ness makes me one happy, coffee addicted girl.
- Reliable birth control. I am thankful for birth control because if I had 3 under 3, I would be certifiably insane. Instead of my usual blog entries, all I would type would be, “Must. Sleep. Now. Must. Not. Pull. Out. Hair. Must. Escape. Madness. Someone. Save. Me. Pleeeeeeease!” That wouldn’t be much fun, now would it? (Well, not for me anyway, it would probably be entertaining for you to read.)
- My iPod and its residents, Paolo Nutini, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, and Colbie Caillat (among others). Without you, dear music friends, I would not be able to drown out the sound of the damn chicken that my neighbors keep cooped in their backyard.
- Baby wipes. Messy child, finger print smudges on DVDs, or blowout diaper, you are always there for me.
Oh, the list of things I am grateful for this Thanksgiving could go on for another 500 bazillion inches and then some. For now, I’ll just say that I’m uber thankful for the aforementioned awesome things.
What kinds of things are you grateful for this Thanksgiving?

Oh, I love peppermint mocha creamer too! After Christmas I’ll buy it all up when it’s on buy one get one free special. Mmm!
Dude, we do that too! Did you know it saves, like, super well in the freezer? You can enjoy peppermint creamer all year long!
