Welcome to Silly Mom Thoughts, where your entertainment is my pleasure. Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and be prepared to giggle, snort, and chuckle along with me. Here, I will divulge my own experiences in parenting, always with the attempt to find a humorous twist to even the grossest and most frustrating situations. It is my hope that you will not only stop by for a laugh, but will also leave this blog knowing you are not alone. After all, we all go through the ups and downs of motherhood and if we’re being honest, sometimes it really sucks.

So, if you’re looking for a humorous relief to your parenting woes, this blog is for you. But, if you’re looking for the following, move along my friend, because this ain’t your cup of tea.

You shouldn’t read this blog if…

  • you can’t take a joke.
  • you want parenting advice from someone who knows what they’re doing (’cuz I don’t know about you, but I have no idea what I’m doing).
  • your children are perfect.
  • you are perfect.
  • the word “poo” (or any of its derivatives) freaks you out.

If that didn’t scare you away, then welcome! Please feel free to leave comments on my blogs, start conversations, spread the word to your friends. The more the merrier. :)

I noticed in one of your blogs you mentioned you had a sleep disorder, I was just wondering if you really did have one (or was that just a joke) and what is it, if you don’t mind me asking. I only ask b/c I am 17.5 weeks pregnant with my first child now and I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea in the middle of October 2008, finding I out I was pregnant the next month too, was quite a shock, if you can imagine! I have to sleep with a mask at night, which I would rather do than surgery that MIGHT fix it, and I am SO exhausted at all times! I personally havent met anyone who is in the same boat as me, so I was just being a little nosy, if you don’t mind. Congrats on your twins by the way, and I can completely relate with the “tax widow,” my husband surfs, so I COMPLETELY understand.

Ann- Yep, I really do have a sleep disorder, though it isn’t as severe as Sleep Apnea. It’s called Hypersomnolence and basically means I’m really super tired all the time, regardless of how much sleep I get. I am so sorry about your sleep disorder, and having to wear a mask, man that would be tough. Congrats on your little one on the way as well!
